Following on from our letter in April we wanted to give you all an update on progress. Many thanksto those of you who have sent in donations, to date we have raised over £12,000. If you haven’t donated and wish to, cheques can be made out to Calleva Society and send them to The Calleva Society, C/O Silchester Village Hall, Whistlers Lane, Silchester, Reading, RG7 2NE, or by BACS to The Calleva Society, Sort code: 30-91-91, Account number: 28114060. The travellers are yet to submit a valid planning application so we are stuck waiting for them to do this before we can start the process of overturning it, we are also waiting for a court date to understand where we are with breach of the injunction that was served on them back in March, we anticipate this to be in the next 4 weeks.
There appears to be little movement on the traveller site at the moment and we don’t believe it is currently being occupied. We have now instructed a Planning Consultant and Solicitors to assist us with overturning the planning application.
I’m afraid I don’t have any more information to share right now but as soon as we do we will share it with you all.
